Virginia J. Booker
Virginia J. Booker went to her rest on April 15, 2022. She was born in Neptune, New Jersey on March 16, 1940. She was the daughter of James and Dorothy Booker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Phyllis Diane Booker, Ida May Love and Doris Stubbs; and two brothers: James Reid and Raymond Booker.
She is survived by two sisters: Elizabeth Shirley and Jeanette Adams; and four brothers: Robert Booker (Audrey), Richard Booker (Myra), Ronald Booker (Dale), and James Booker Jr. (Diana). She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews as well as her God-daughter Erica Johnson Card and many special friends including Karen Freeman and Kendale Herndon.
Virginia graduated from Pine Forge Institute in Pennsylvania, she then moved on to receive her bachelors of Arts degree in History from Oakwood College in Huntsville, Alabama, then taught at Ramah Christian Academy before moving on to serve over 30 years as a social worker with Cuyahoga County Department of Human Services where she eventually retired in 2001. She resided in Cleveland, Ohio for over 50 years.
Virginia enjoyed serving others and traveling and was a longtime devoted member of Glenville Present Truth Seventh-day Adventist Church where she presided as their Clerk.
